I was published. This was cool. I liked it. But I could have gone on with out it. But I am thankful.

Working on ATC's
coloring the ATC's
Still have finishing touches on the ATC's.
Here is a close up of my inspired flower.
Here are the 3 jars I did. The short snowman has a knob for a hat. The tall snowman has a snowflake from Cosmo Cricket. The small jar I put on a snowflake with mittens hanging down from the flower snowflake.
These were so fun to make. The heads are styrofoam with Martha Stewart mica flakes all over them. The noses were made by just rolling up orange paper and gluing them shut. Eyes and mouth are button brads. Jars are saved from different foods. Husband said, "so that is why we wash and save those things", as he walks away he mumbles loudly he really likes these recycled jars. Ha, see the woman is always right!I love this box, the fun surprise inside makes this box.
Been busy doing some cute Petite dolls. Check back soon I will be showing you some things I have been up to!

I had a great surprise in the mail yesterday. I was published in the Somerset Studio Gallery Winter 2010 Magazine. Yep, I am on page 19. I was so excited all I did was open and close, then open and close again and again. I will share as soon as it hits the stand on December 1st.
Other then moving, doing art, unpacking icky brown boxes, hate boxes. Really hate boxes. Let me tell you, they are going to be recycled into corrugated books for art and that will be the only way I will like brown ugly boxes again.
Well hopefully this post is enough for now and I will be back to share a Christmas doll painting that I am doing.
Till now!I put these so close together it took forever! I was up late and up early. I finally finished this. It took me longer to do this, then it took to do the whole rest of the skirt including taking the waistband off a pair of jeans. What was I thinking?
Here it is on the dress form. Decked out with an altered jacket and a t-shirt that says...
This is just another shot of the whole outfit.
Kinda cute.........some of the retreat guests came in the store to check this out and said this is very Project Runway. I guess they had a show a few weeks back where they had to make something out of newspaper. Well I think I certainly went out of the box for this one. A paper skirt out of scrapbook paper? What next?
This is the inside of Mr Bones. No guts, just a happy Halloween note.
This is my Ghouls card, lots of 1 inch squares going on here. Then I pop dotted the Oh Ghouls up off of the squares.
Here is Farris waiting for the house to fall down!
Here are Clara and James and Jereomy and Nina waiting for the house to come down. See Clara holding her note pad? That is her autograph book. She asked for autographs from the Police the Fire dept., the director, security and then Ty. She got them all! In fact she got Ty twice!
I am here waiting also. I am with my great nephew, yep that makes me a Great Aunt!
My three grand kids on the big red fire truck!
It is almost all down! They did stop for a bit because the house was a little out of control and starting to go into the house next store. It would have been a 2 for 1 deal! But all went well and they got it all down. Clean up started right away. They had the hauling trucks all lined up ready to haul things away.
I thought what a better way to display the picture of me with them. Not original by any means, but it is a good way for you to think outside the box and use things that are around you that you would normally throw out.
That's my post for the day.
Have a art filled day!
This is a closer look at the kitty that is on the fence and the pumpkin on the stick. I do like the way they turned out.
This is what you have all been waiting for.................here she is in her gloomy Cosmo Cricket gown waiting to haunt in her local neighborhood!
I am trying to decide if I would like her face to have a green hue to it? I am thinking she might need some green envy. Any comments welcome!
