Question for you..........."Does this mean I should have all my ducks in a row?" Is it a sign?

Okay I have not put up any pictures of Farris as of late and the Great Grandparents only come here for those pictures, so anyone who wants to see more of my painting you will have to fast forward to the end to see one. Sorry! But this is pretty cute!

Next stage is a little more shading then beeswax! Oh my! Never have done beeswax before.

I am having so much fun with this painting and drawing thing, who knew?
I have not done the little girl yet, but will in next couple days. Picture does not do this justice if I do say so myself.

Busy, busy, busy..........

I have been busy, busy, busy............

I have been scrapping, painting, working in my journal and many other things. I guess that means I have been making some art.
Well this art is real. Low and behold out my bathroom window I look out to see this. How cool it was to watch this eagle in my backyard. That's right in my backyard. I thought it was pretty cool, until I saw what he was doing. He was eating a bunny. I love bunnies. Needless to say I was very worried to let my two small dogs outside. They might become his next lunch or dinner. Anyway, it was still pretty cool to have him in the backyard.

Okay remember the dolls I have been drawing? Well next phase was to color them and do a background for them. Well I did not show you the colored dolls when they were done, my computer had been down with a minor issue. So you will see the background with the dolls. This is just a background with out the doll on it.

Doll has been added and some other painting has been added.

Let me tell you this is going to get under my skin and stay for awhile, I am loving this!
Here is the next one. She does not have any legs or arms yet that will come next week.
We will do more next week with both of these. I have one more I have to do, but have not done the face of the girl yet. It is a boy and a girl one. ohhhhhhhhh I love this.

I used PINK!

Here as promised. This page I have done with Clara. Just some of the pictures that I like of her. I added paint and ink and stamps. What gets me the most is that I used pink. Pink, of all the colors, I choose pink? But I do like it. I just followed the colors in Clara's dance costume and went from there. This was just fun!

This is the next page that follows Clara's page. I used ink and paint with a Tim Holtz mask. Pink again. On the next two pages I will write thoughts of Clara, like what special things she makes. Her smile, how she is always ready to give you a hug or tell you that you make pretty things. She is always making me cards telling me what a good Meme I am. I am enjoying this journal kinda thing a lot. I am having fun mixing pencils, inks, gesso, and paint.

Here are the two pages together. Of course you can see I am not quite done with the one side yet. Then of course the journaling must go in.

So there you have it a couple more pages in the book. I hope you enjoy this free style that I am into right now. I am still in practice mode with my drawings. I did draw about 12 more dolls today, however I think I only nailed 2 maybe 3. One of them could be the one I continue on with for my painting.

Journal stuff

Hi everybody, where have I been again? Well let's see? I have been playing around doing art, what else would I be doing? Well, I started a somewhat of a journal kind of thing. This is my first 2 pages and I like it. I like the busy feel and the colors. Never thought I would like color. Not big on pink and yet wait till you see a couple more of the pages. Pink, who knew?
So yep that is me at 5 years old thinking I was a artist. Some things never change. I am still thinking I am. This is a picture I had made for my parents for Christmas.

Here is the second page, it just list that I am 47 (ewwwwwwwww) and that I have some goals.

Now this is what I really have been working on. I am taking an online course with Suzi Blu and I am loving it. This is only the first week but I am soooo........ into it. I don't even care if anyone else likes my face on the dolls that I am drawing, I like them. Yeah!!!!!! Here is one of the first ones that I have done, just in pencil. Next week we will add color pencil to them. I love this.

I still have a lot of practice to do. Need to do different expression and hair and clothes. But like I said this is just one of the first ones. I will add a link to Suzi Blu on the side of my blog, you know over there.

Okay this is for the GG-Parents out there, here she is in her sun glasses. In the house because on this day it was raining. But you got to use them as props, right?
