10 Minute Valentine!

That's RIGHT! I said 10 minutes!

**Disclaimer.....you must have all materials where you can find them! LOL!

The challenge.........keep it under 10 minutes!

WHAT?

Yep, the challenge on Eileen Hull blog is keep it under 10 minutes!

Materials needed:

Card stock - I used DCWV Jet Black Stash

Eileen Hull Needle book die

Sizzix Big Kick 

Easy Cut ADHESIVE

Little Sizzles Mat board

Glue Dots ®  Glue Lines

Glue Dots® Ultra Thin

Red Marker - I used Bic

1 Red Gem

Velcro

Small Treat Size Candy Bars

Gather all of your materials

Cut Mat board and paper to the size of the die

Adhere the EASY-CUT ADHESIVE to the Mat board

Peel back top paper and adhere the paper

 Run this through your die cut machine using the Needle Book die

 

 Use a Glue Line on the inside of the book

This is where your candy bar will go
Adhere the book closure onto the back of the book with glue or a Glue Dot
I used small Velcro circles that adhered to the book and the closure to hold it closed
Add small Gem

I took part of the paper and colored it with a marker and adhered it to the inside of the book

Finished!

 Take it just one more step and add a heart to the front!

 DONE! 
9 minutes 18 seconds!

December Art with Heart - Favorite Things!

Are you ready for Christmas?

I for one am NOT! I think this is the first year that I am not ready at all! I swear last time I looked at the calendar it was October! How is it that November flew by and now it is a few days before Christmas?

Well..........
Tis’ the season for a new Art with Heart Challenge! December is “Favorite Things” and we want you to play along!  This month is essentially anything goes.  Just share your favorite things whether it be a die, paint, ink, color or project.  

So My favorite die is.......

Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die - Blocks/Cubes, 3-D

You may ask why and I will tell you why. It is because I can use it for so many things. 

Just watch and see!

So for today's project I used the 3D Blocks/Cubes

Little Sizzles Mat board

Using my Big Kick I cut all my pieces out

I adhered all my paper on

I used a Tim Holtz Die to die cut the word Joy on the largest block

All pieces are now ready to be put together

Once put together - I die cut some feet for my tower. I used Eileen's new Sewing box die. I love the feet/base on it and am using them on so many projects.

Once I attached the base I used some distress ink and adhered some snowflakes. I added a knob at the top. In the bottom block I added a 

battery operated candle.

Using the same die I have made these projects and that is why this die is one of my favorites!

Valentines tower filled with candy

Halloween tower

All of these are made with the same die! And that my friends is why!

Art with Heart Challenge – Projects to Love

I was playing around with the Cookie Box die by Eileen Hull and wanted to make something not what it was intended for!

I came up with a cute little container with a handle! Perfect to fill with your favorite things!

Super easy to make! I cut 2 of the main rounds and then the insert.

After you cut the insert with your machine, you then just cut off 1-1/2 section off of each side.

Glue it together and add a handle!

  I love this Cookie Box die. 

  So much you can do with it!!!!

I also was playing with my ATB die and came up with a tower of LOVE!

I call it "Just One Kiss" There is just one kiss in the top ATB. I thought it was just something fun!

Then I started to play with editing pictures and this is what I cam up with. Just messing around!

I think I should have retaken these pictures. I have to say when I took them it was just to sunny! Mind you I am not complaining!!!
