Glue Dots and Marion Smith Designs Blog Hop!

I am so glad you have come to visit!

First I have to say, when I received the Marion Smith Designs paper....I confess! I did not want to cut them! I really had a hard time! I wanted to use both sides and I could not, no matter how bad I wanted to! This line is called "Never Grow Up".

The paper dolls in this line are sooooo cute!

I have 3 projects to share today!

First up is the Flower
Marion Smith cardstock is a sturdy cardstock, I love that! This means it works really well for using with die cut machines. It is not easily torn.

So to try it out, I first started with a flower cut on my Silhouette.
I used my handy dandy Glue Dot® dispenser with my Glue Dots® Minis loaded in it. This makes it so easy to put the flower together.
Just add your Glue Dots® and stack your petals until finished.
Here is the finished flower. See the little nest with the bird?
This is also part of Marion Smith Designs, they are called Junque & Gems! LOVE them!

My next project is a card for the new baby!
Again using my Glue Dots® dispenser I cut out my card and then adhered the pieces together.

Do you see the paper doll up there? I love them!
Once everything was adhered down I added the stamp and fussy cut the little outfit to go on the front of this cute little dresser card! Check out that little resin flower, isn't that super cute!
Another of the Junque & Gems by Marion Smith Designs!
Such a great cardstock, cuts well, inks well and love the weight of this cardstock!
And the designs are soooo cute!

Next is my final piece and I LOVE the way it turned out! I hope you do too!

It's a Paper Purse!
Look at this fabulous design! I love this large floral print! What a great print for a purse!
I cut all my pieces out and started putting this purse together.
(Watch out Coach) LOL!

You can see why I like using the Glue Dots®. They fit nicely on each of the little tabs and they hold in place. If I were to use glue I would have to hold that area till it was tacky enough to move on. But with the Glue Dots® I can continue to work! I love that!
The purse itself is so cute! Then if you used it as a gift card holder or for a small gift bag! PERFECT!
See the flower I used for the "snap"? Again Marion Smith Designs Junque & Gems! It was a perfect finish to this gift handbag!

Marion Smith products are available at Scrapbook.com and BlueMoonScrapbooking.com for online ordering.
Glue Dots® products, including the new Desktop Dispenser, are available online at Jo-Ann.com or at your local Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.

I hope that you hop to the rest of the designers blogs. I am sure they have some fabulous eye candy!
How could they not with this fabulous line by Marion Smith Designs!

Party Banner with Eileen Hull

It's that time of the year..............Party time!

                                           Graduations......Picnics.....Family Reunions.....

whatever the occasion, you need a Party Banner!

I used Eileen Hull's Mini Album die #658982

I also used Eileen Hull's Bird die.
                                                                  657120

Using Eileen Hull's Mini Album die made making this banner so EASY!

Did you know if you only cut half of the book as shown below, you will get a perfect size for a banner? Yes that's right, I just cut half of the book. It also gives you perfectly rounded corners
and..........wait for it .....................................Scored lines to fold over you ribbon!

I thought that was so AWESOME!

I then added stitching around each of the banner tiles. Each one with a different stitch.

I  use different embellishments to decorate each of the banner tiles.

Here is where the scored lines were used, I just folded on the score line
and used my tiny attacher by Tim Holtz. So EASY!

I then adhered all of the embellishment down and then hung to enjoy!

Here is a close up of the bird with her party hat on!

I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did!

Eileen Hull Inspiration Team - April Showers bring May Flowers

3D Canning Jar Vase?

This is a fun little vase you could give as a thank you gift, birthday gift or just keep for yourself!

I started with Eileen Hull's Canning Jar 3D die.

I cut my Jars out of chipboard.
I  colored my jars and lids with colored pencils.
Then I blended them with Gamasol.
Here is Jar and Lid colored and blended.
Shaded to give the appearance of water in the jar.
Here is the jar with a bit more shading and I added the shading of the word Ball on the jar. I did this very lightly as I wanted it to be seen, but not the focus.

I then adhered all the pieces together and this is what I came up with!
I love how it turned out!
I had a very small glass that I used to put the flowers in.
Like a shot glass, but not. I think I saved it from some embellishments.
