September Tag

Nothing like waiting till the last minute to make my tag!

I think I like it, I thought it might be a bit much. In the end state I really like it.

I used six different stencils. I had fun doing it.

With Tim showing each step it makes it so much easier for me. I did change a few of the steps,
I used rub ons, added metal hinge, different stamp. But all in all the same, but different.

Different is good, makes it more me!

I was surprised it all didn't muck together.
Had to be patient and let it dry between coats. That is key!
 A few close ups

I hope you like it!
Thanks for looking!

Garbage Turned Halloween Decor

It's fall y'all, you know what that means................................

It's time to start decorating and making things for Halloween!

I love Halloween!

I know so many people like this time of year. The leaves change, the air is crisp, apple orchard time, pumpkin bars and HALLOWEEN!

Well I started to look at what was laying around in my craft mess and found
some stuff I thought I could pull together.

This is a block of wood I saved from the garbage.

This is a broken candlestick that also was saved from the garbage

I have this cat and a pumpkin and a witch ornament I bought a while ago.
(one of those had to haves)
Also in my stash is the NEW Cosmo Cricket Glitter Sheets
(they are FANTASTIC! No messy glitter)

A drill, a dowel rod, garbage and some glue and a little imagination
and you get some cute decorations for the home!
(For Halloween!)

2013 August tag

It is time for 12 tags of 2013

This is my August tag.

If you are wondering what I am talking about you can go to the source...Tim's Blog.

I don't have any of Tim's travel stamps, except for the car.
So I went with a seamstress theme instead.

I think it turned out great!
I love how it all came together with the masking technique!

I used all the step Tim did on his tags, although I had to improvise and use a paper mask, as I do not have his wonderful masking product. I put a mask on the dress form and the thread spool. When done stamping I used my distress markers to add some color and depth.
I also added buttons, a snap and a small safety pin as embellishments. Can't forget the hitch fastener I also added. (gosh I love those things)

All in all I love this tag!

Nursery Decor with Glue Dots®

Nursery Décor

with

I have not figured out how to take a picture with glass yet.
So the top picture is with the glass.
Lower without the glass.

This is such a easy project. I used a frame I bought at a garage sale.
Took the mat out and added the paper with 1" Glue Lines®.

I added a sweet little dress that I had sketched out a while ago and colored it with
Distress Markers-Tim Holtz.

It was so sweet I thought I would frame it.
So easy!
Want the full scoop and instruction?

Head over to Glue Dots® and get them!

Thanks for stopping by!

I wrote this blog while participating on the Glue Dots® Design Team.
