Tea for Two?

I made this card and gift tea bag holder for Cosmo Cricket/Advantus. the new Tea for Two line is so adorable and sweet! I thought this would be a perfect use for this paper.

This is the inside of the card.

This is the tea bag holder. Now I am not a tea drinker, so I do not know if this tea is good or not. But it looked good in the holder, it was the perfect color! LOL!

Now if you like this tea holder, you can get directions over at the Cosmo Cricket blog.

Have a great day!

Blue Hair?

Who could look cute as a BUTTON with BLUE hair? My grandson, that's who!

Cosmo Cricket was having a Tiny Text challenge and I thought this would be a cute project. I used Material Girl button paper and some of the Nutmeg collection.

This is what I did........
I also used a Greeting Farms stamp.I used colored pencils to color the image. This image was perfect for this project.

My grandson showed up one day with his Mom and sister, he had blue hair and a blue mouth. He had a blue sucker while they did his hair at the salon. He thought he was so COOL! If you can't read all the text is says....Cute as a button, Even with blue hair!

Hope you enjoyed!

Have a great day!

Oh Baby!

My Godson and his wife had a beautiful baby girl. So I made a blanket for the baby and purchased the cutest little dress and shoes.

So I just wanted to share the blanket I made.

This blanket is for my husband's co-worker, they had a baby last week.

I have one more to do, this next one is for a boy.

Off to work on some more stuff.

Week 4- Chapter 13 Challenge: The Best Butter!

"The Hatter was the first to break the silence. `What day of the month is it?' he said, turning to Alice: he had taken his watch out of his pocket, and was looking at it uneasily, shaking it every now and then, and holding it to his ear.Alice considered a little, and then said `The fourth.'`Two days wrong!' sighed the Hatter. `I told you butter wouldn't suit the works!' he added looking angrily at the March Hare.`It was the BEST butter,' the March Hare meekly replied.`Yes, but some crumbs must have got in as well,' the Hatter grumbled: `you shouldn't have put it in with the bread-knife.'The March Hare took the watch and looked at it gloomily: then he dipped it into his cup of tea, and looked at it again: but he could think of nothing better to say than his first remark, `It was the BEST butter, you know.'" --Chapter 7; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

For the month of March, how could we resist a challenge honoring the March Hare? We are challenging you to use "the best butter," as in butter yellow!

Our sponsor, Red Eowyn, is offering a one sheet of Alice in Wonderland stamps to the randomly selected winner of this month's challenge! The March Hare is the owner and illustrator's favorite Alice character, so of course we had to do her challenge in March. Red Eowyn has beautifully cleaned up the original Tenniel illustrations to make truly clear images that are a delight to stamp. The unmounted sheets include a variety of fun Alice sentiments, so be sure to check them out. In addition to Alice stamps, Red Eowyn also has wonderfully realistic animal stamps and some amazing dragons in the Fantasy category! Free U.S. shipping is included.

This week we show the winner of our challenge. Go to the Altered Alice and see who won!

Sharing Vintage tray for CHA-Cosmo Cricket

This was one of my Favorites!

I had a ugly tray and I mean UGLY! Spray painted a soft white. Drilled a couple hole for the ribbon and I had a great surface to make a great keepsake.

These trays are always at the thrift store. Although I did get this one at Hobby Lobby for a very CHEAP price. Or shall we say a thrifty price.

I loved this line from Cosmo Cricket, it is called "Evangeline". I loved the chipboard embellishments. The flowers were to die for......I wish I had more of them. I have been waiting for some to come into LSS, but none as of yet. I might have to break down and buy them off the Internet. I like to buy local to keep the shops open.

Enough of all that......Look and see!

just a closer look

Multiple entries are allowed but each must be on a separate post.

I made a tag for this challenge.
I wanted the March Hare to stand out, so I used Distress Ink -scattered straw-for my best butter. I used -wild honey-Distressed Ink for blending.
I stamped the March Hare in black and colored with colored pencils. I then stamped some random swirls and tea cup with gesso. After this was dry, I went over it with a White Signo pen. I embossed, then added the words from a Alice's Adventures in Wonderland book. I added a little shading on and around the words. Added a bow with a button and that's my tag.

I love the "made just for you" stamp from Red Eowyn. So sweet and CUTE!

Head over to the Altered Alice blog and check out this weeks DT inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by.

Make a difference challenge-Cosmo Cricket

I am back with another challenge from Cosmo Cricket. This challenge is an easy one, all you had to do is make something for someone. That's it! Super easy and for a good cause!

This is what I did this week.......

It's a pincushion!

It is made with one of those $1 frames I love and a small piece of Cosmo Cricket Early Bird material. (this was the last piece I have) Super cute for that sewing friend.

Next I had a small gift for someone and I needed a little box and card.
So this is what I did.....

We all loved this line, Circa 1934. I have to confess I still have 2 decks of this and all of the 12X12's. I am in love with this line and have not been able to cut into it!

Until NOW!
Close up of the card. I cut some random circles and sewed some circles on them. I then inked with Ranger/tim Holtz distress ink "Iced Spruce". Wrinkled and curled until I liked it.

Just another view. I was trying to get this done early in the day. Did not happen! I have my 3 yr old g-daughter here from MN and she will not let Meme play with her stuff. We can only play what she wants to play with. Mostly that means being outside chasing kitties, looking at the horses, riding on the battery operated car (that she does not steer, just goes). But I am not complaining, when she is back in MN I will miss her so much!

Hope you enjoyed!
