This is the front cover. I have gessoed, painted, stained, chalked, cut and glued. I started with some thicker chipboard and cut a hole into it for the window. This gave it a shadow box look to it. I a layered the papers to keep it looking as if Alice is looking out the window. Perhaps waiting for someone?

even closer! The inside pages were done much the same. I do have to say I did get some inspiration from my team mate Sue Roddis. I love the way she does her journal pages.....you can see them here. So this is my attempt at a sort of journal page, but not. The reason? It is only the front cover and these to pages. No journal.

I did learn I do like the smeary look the chalk gives over the paint and ink. I will be using that a lot more!
