Buried Treasure

Glad you stopped by!

Seth Apter from "The Altered Page" has made it a yearly mission to uncover

                                                                             Buried Treasures!

Each participant is asked to post one of their favorite post from this past year.
It is one of those missions that help all of us find new treasures, new art, and
possibly new friends.

So for that, I thank you Seth.

So today I am re-posting my favorite project of the year and proud to say
that it was published in Somerset Studio Magazine.

If you would like to read more about it and see more pictures, check it out here.

Here she is my Steampunk Dress form............................

Thanks for stopping by.

Lets have fun on our adventure and hopefully we all find some neat buried treasures!

June Tag

June tag time on Tim Hotlz blog..........................

I am trying my hand at this again. I did have to substitute the Distress Paint because sadly I do not own any yet! Boo Hoo...............

I will.......I swear I will, just not quite yet.
I hear and read that they are AWESOME!

It is not even a skip or a hop to anywhere close that I could get them.
It is a very longggggggg.......... car ride to get supplies for me.

It was never like that before, this is very hard for me. UGH!
I know cry me a river........I live in the Rocky Mountains, what more could I ask for?

Oh I don't know, maybe a scrapbook store?

Anyway you came to see my tag.

I did the same tag as Tim, but changed a few things (wings).
Do you see my wings?

I stamped the dragonfly onto a piece of film from a package.
I wanted these wings to be very thin.
Turned them over and colored them with the Distress Markers!
Here they are against the paper. I wish you could see them in person they are beautiful!
I added a little Perfect Pearls to get a little sparkle.

I tried to take some different angles so that you could see the wings.
They are so thin. They are realistic looking with the Perfect Pearls on them.
They have just a bit of glimmer.
You can see a bit of the glimmer of the Perfect Pearls in this picture
Wings!
The whole tag!
I also added thin jute and wrapped around the top of the white watercolor paper
and added some crinkled ribbon to my tag.
Of course it was not done without me distressing the sides and bottom of the tag.

Hope you liked my tag for June! I loved creating it!

ATT-ATC

Went to a sale on Saturday, I was hoping it would be huge!

It was not.

In fact it was very small, with only about 12 booths.

Most were candles or soaps.

But I did find these two gems! So all was not lost.

After the sale we took a great drive in the mountains.
We took the long way home.

Such a great day for it. You would think when I leave my house I would grab the camera.
I live right up here in the Rocky Mountains, how can you leave home without the camera?

So I have no beautiful shots from the mountains.....bad Me!

But I am sharing what I got at the sale. ↓   Very Cool!

And I am sharing a ATC that I made for a group I belong too.
The group is ATT, no not AT & T, just ATT.....are you confused?
All Things Tim group.
You know that guy I always talk about. LOL!

Anyway the theme was Tickets.
So I used the ticket stamp for the background, another ticket to hold the ticket
and there is also a ticket on back.
Distressed and inked and all ready for you to take the ticket....it comes out!

Remove your ticket!

What a great background my new gems made!

Happy news.....I won on Tim's blog! I won for my May tag. Soooooo excited about that.
You can see that post here.

Thanks for stopping!
