May Tag with Tim

Hi guys!

Thought I would try my hand at a Tim Holtz tag!

I always use his videos to do tags or backgrounds, however, I have never done the tags!

I am a member of the ATT (All things Tim) group. Does this make me a bad member if I have
never done the tags before this? I hope not! I still use so much of his stuff and Ranger's.

What would we all do if we did not have these amazing products?

Anyway your here to see my TAG!

Like Tim's, however not the same. Same technique, just not same stamps or colors.

So here it is my first official TAG!

Ta Dah!

I used the buckle at the bottom because I love it! I used paper and distressed it to make it look leather like. punched a hole and wa lah you have a belt! LOVE it!

Hope you like it!

I LOVE IT!!!!!

It's a real face?

I just wanted to share a big step or me!

I like to sketch but that is usually as far as a face goes. Never paint a realistic face

                                                          EVER!

Well that is about to CHANGE!

I am always looking (lurking) on different sites, thinking "gosh I would like to paint like that".......
Well if you don't try, you can't do it!

So here is my sketch.......
Starting the background. I used different papers, Golden paints, Dylusions ink spray (loved it)
Alcohol ink and off I went. I also used quite a few stencils.
Here it is to the point I am ready to put my girl on. I stamped the background using Tim Holtz's stamps using Archival ink from Ranger.
Started painting the girl and this was very intimidating for me! I thought to myself I can't do this....who do you think you are? But I kept at it and actually started to enjoy the process.
I actually started to relax and have fun with it. So Never say CAN'T!
Here she is!

I DID IT!

It may not be a work of art to be in a museum, but I did it and got the fear out!

And I don't think she is to bad for a first timer!

Cosmo Cricket-Sweet Desposition

I had so much fun with this quick and easy project.

Take a really cute picture. (well you know I am going to say that, it's my g-daughter)
Add some really cute Cosmo Cricket-Sweet Desposition paper.
Use some Glue Dots®
Have a 7 gypsies shadow box laying around.
Add a heart you made a while ago!
Glue Dots®
Pop up and Ultra thin

How about adding a buckle from Tim Holtz?
I cut out the bottom strip of the paper that we scrappers usually throw away. It had the name of the paper on it and I thought it would look super cute with a straight pin over the picture.
 Perfect!

I decided to cut out a heart and put the heart I made behind it. I then outlined it with a white pen. I think it turned out really cute!

Hope you enjoyed my post, off to paint!

Have a great day!

CHAPTER 27: What a Wonderful Dream it Has Been!

CHAPTER 27: What a Wonderful Dream it Has Been!

"`Who cares for you?' said Alice, (she had grown to her full size by this time.) `You're nothing but a pack of cards!'
At this the whole pack rose up into the air, and came flying down upon her: she gave a little scream, half of fright and half of anger, and tried to beat them off, and found herself lying on the bank, with her head in the lap of her sister, who was gently brushing away some dead leaves that had fluttered down from the trees upon her face.
`Wake up, Alice dear!' said her sister; `Why, what a long sleep you've had!'
`Oh, I've had such a curious dream!' said Alice, and she told her sister, as well as she could remember them, all these strange Adventures of hers that you have just been reading about; and when she had finished, her sister kissed her, and said, `It WAS a curious dream, dear, certainly: but now run in to your tea; it's getting late.' So Alice got up and ran off, thinking while she ran, as well she might, what a wonderful dream it had been."
-- Chapter 12, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Chapter 27 will be the last regularly scheduled challenge on The Altered Alice. Due to pressures of work, health, and family activities, Lynne is not able to keep up with running the challenges any longer. We will continue to have Alice posts and Linky tools so you can show us your Alice and perhaps some blog candy now and then, but it will not be in formal challenges. Please continue to subscribe and to share your Alice artwork!

Just as our very first challenge was sponsored by Stampotique Originals, we are ending with a Stampotique challlenge! They are offering a $30 gift certificate for one lucky winner, and their design team is going to play along! Be sure to visit their Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog where you can play every week! There is something to please everyone at Stampotique Originals! I like the symmetry of ending as we began.

Anything goes, so show us your best! We will begin on Mother's day, May 12 and end on Father's Day, June 16. Your last day to submit projects will be Friday, June 14. Multiple entries are encouraged but each must be on a separate post. For our last challenge, only Wonderland projects are allowed!

For my last project I thought I would leave with this sentiment:
Enjoy today, live for tomorrow and dream for the future.

I made this sweet little Mixed Media piece. Covered it in different papers and painted, stamped, doodle, and more paint, then stamped the sentiment and rabbit.

Both stamps are from Stampotique artist Maria Sabina Raita. The sentiment is Enjoy today and the rabbit is You give me wings.

Make sure you visit the other designers and Stampotiqe designers are also playing along, so make sure you visit them also.

I have made 3 Father's day cards.

One of them has a special place in my heart.

I have re-made it, but it was from 2005. I made it for my Dad and he loved it.
So I thought I would share it with you!

The third card is a card that you can have the kids get involved in making. I love when the kids craft and Glue Dots® makes that so easy to do!

I have never used Buttons Galore but I sure love the variety, color and amount of buttons you  receive.

Gorgeous colors!

All papers used are from Basic Grey!

So lets get to some pictures shall we?
